Senior Project is an optional program for participation and takes place in the last three weeks of second semester senior year. Here, students are immersed in their field of choice where they get hands on experience from a mentor. It is also a wonderful opportunity for alumni to mentor graduating seniors from Avon Lake High School.
Additionally, the Avon Lake High School Stadium was recently renovated in 2010. This $5.5 million dollar project also included a new garage for the busses for the surrounding school system. The new stadium offers: all weather turf, a visitor’s press box, new concession stand, 4,500 seats, and portable bleachers for the ALHS band. Being under the Friday night lights is quite the experience watching the Avon Lake Shoremen and is even better with the new stadium.
